Symbol's AP4131 Access Point delivers robust 802.11b wireless networking for your laptops, handheld computers and other mobile divices.  With speeds up to 11 Mbps, the Symbol AP4131 provides robust support for voice and data applications, as well as interoperability with any Wi-Fi certified device.  Scaling to accommodate additional capacity and coverage is as easy as adding additional access points.  And a comprehensive suite of security options, combined with the ability to detect unauthorized acces points protects your network, mobile devices and users against hackers and attacks.

They Symbol Ap4131 Access Point supports up to 127 clients with Wi-Fi^TM certified 802.11b client cards, including Symbol's PC and CompactFlashTM format Wireless Networker^TM cards for laptops and PDAs, and Spectrum24 Universal Serial Bus for desktop and other USB-enabled equipment.  Mobile voice and date services with embedded wireless connectivity cards also communicate with the Symbol AP4131 Access Point.  Adding more access points scales your Spectrum24 wireless LAN to support additional users.

The Symbol AP4131 Access Point features Symbol Security Suite, Symbol's comprehansive security suite designed to meet mobile data protection requirements including: industry-standard 40 and 128 bit WEP incryption; KeyGuard, Symbol's TKIP encryption implementation based on the forthcoming 802.11i standard; Kerberos V5 based mobile security; EAP/TLS with 802.1X portbased Network Access Control; RADIUS; or a combination of these choices.
