The LXE 2315 is an industrial grade handheld radio frequency device used typically in warehousing and manufacturing operations. LXE, Norcross, GA, has spent the last two decades developing a reputation for solid RF technology. They were among the first with 900 Mhz radios and captured early market share in the 90's. Gradually, they lost market share as Intermec and Symbol took their positions. Teklogix won their place in the market with excellent mainframe and midsize IBM emulation.
For years the 2315 has been he mainstay of the LXE 900 Mhz line. The unit was not made in the 2.4 Ghz family. Engineering of the LXE 2315 is robust and the product makes an excellent refurbished purchase. Often called the Tomahawk, by their users, most customers found that unit was durable enough, but didn't possess the edge needed to split a hardwood. The unit came with 29 and 19 key varieties. Scan engines could be standard range or long range. The most distinctive feature of the device was it's all in one form.
