The 5300-IP50 is a multi-purpose scanner for reading low to medium density paper or retroreflective lavels from close-up and long range.  The benchmark scanner for durability and ruggedness, the 5300-IP50 can withstand multiple 6 ft (1.8 m) drops onto concrete.  Due to its standard shock-absorbing rubber boot, spring-return trigger, high-impact optics, layered electronics, and enhanced cable strain relief, the 5300-IP50 is at the top of the series.  Battery life in hand-held terminals is conserved with its power conservations mode.

The 5300-IP50's enhanced depth of field gives it a very aggressive scanning of difficult-to-read "Real World" bar code labels low, medium, and high density with any bar code pringing method and substrate.  The 5300-IP50 consists of a built-in self diagnostics to assist in building and maintaining scanners for extended field life.  With such accessories as the scanner holster, the 5300-IP50 can take-up-reel options for fork lift applications.
