The Intermec 1545 visible laser diode scanner makes scanning easy with a light beam that is visable for aiming. Unlike infrared scanners, the 1545 doesn't rely on relatively dim and diffuse spotting beam that can't be seen in moderately bright ambient light. The 1545 scanner has been designed with performance in mind. The first thing you'll notice is how quickly the scanner reads bar code. Once the trigger is squeezed, a good read is achieved almost instantly. Also, the working distance is outstanding. WIth 40 mil bar code, the 1545 can scan at lease 20 inches away. However, the distance is only one indication of performance-the scanner is extremely resistent to substitution errors. That's important when scanning marginal quality bar codes so frequently found in industrial environments. The 1545 Laser Scanner was carefully designed with a shock-absorbing enclosure to withstand rough treatment-including a five-foot drop onto concrete. The scanner can be used in variety of demanding environments. It's unaffected by windblown dust and rain as defined by MIL-STD-810D. And it can be operated from -20 degrees celcius to 50 degrees celcius.
